Buying Guide

How to Pick the Right Mattress

A new mattress is one of the most important purchases you'll make for your home. Here's how we help every customer find the right one.

1. Pick the right size

  • Twin (38" × 75"), kids' rooms, guest beds, bunks.
  • Full (54" × 75"), solo adult, smaller bedrooms.
  • Queen (60" × 80"), the most popular size, fits most rooms and most couples.
  • King (76" × 80"), couples who want extra space, or sharing with kids/pets.

2. Choose your firmness

  • Plush, soft, sinks in, best for side sleepers.
  • Medium, balanced, works for most sleep positions and most people.
  • Firm, minimal sink, best for back/stomach sleepers and anyone with back pain.

Tip: try the mattress in your normal sleep position for at least 10 minutes, not just sitting on the edge.

3. Understand the materials

  • Memory foam, contours to your body, great pressure relief, can sleep warm.
  • Hybrid, coils + foam, best of both worlds: support and comfort.
  • Innerspring, traditional bouncy feel, great airflow, lower cost.
  • Cooling gel / breathable cover, important in San Antonio's heat.

4. Don't forget the foundation

A good mattress on a worn-out box spring won't perform well. Ask about adjustable bases, they're popular for back relief, snoring, and watching TV in bed. Pair your new mattress with a complete bedroom set and finish the room in one trip.

5. Plan for delivery & access

We offer same-day delivery in San Antonio. Before delivery day, measure your doorways, hallways, and stairwell to make sure the mattress size you choose will fit.

Note: we don't offer haul-off service. Please arrange to dispose of your old mattress separately.

6. Make it fit your budget

Quality mattresses don't have to break the bank. Ask about flexible financing — most customers get approved in minutes, including no-credit-needed options.

Mattress FAQ

Mattress questions, answered

Most people with lower back pain do best on a medium-firm mattress. It supports the spine's natural alignment without forcing pressure points. Side sleepers with back pain may prefer a medium-firm hybrid that contours at the hips and shoulders. Come in and try a few — we'll let you lie down as long as you need.
